History: Kamen Rider wiki

Chronologically, Ryusei Sakuta is introduced as a normal, happy student of Subaruboshi High School, doing very well scholastically and having several friends. Among them is his best friend Jirou Iishi, both boys students of Jeet Kune Do hybrid martial arts, a martial arts created by Bruce Lee. But Ryusei excelled at it when compared to his friend, being much better at the art then Jirou - something Jirou eventually grew jealous of. Turning to Zodiarts Switches, devices that use Cosmic Energy to turn the user into a monster and twist the mind, but also give powers based off consolations, he tried to become more powerful so he could be an equal of Ryusei. This backfired, with both boys saying some pretty hurtful/stupid words before Jirou ended up in a coma, something Ryusei still blames himself about.

But he got a chance to try and fix things when he received a package from the mysterious Tachibana of the Anti-Zodiarts Union, giving him the offer to become Kamen Rider Meteor and track down the Zodiart Aries, who he was told was the key to waking Jirou up. Ryusei jumped at the offer, transferring to Amanogawa High School which is the center of Zodiart activity. There he has two orders to follow, the first being never to reveal that he's Meteor, and the second to infiltrate the Kamen Rider Club, the main group fighting the Zodiarts. This group includes Gentaro Kisaragi, the teen behind Kamen Rider Fourze, who Ryusei was to help grow more powerful as part of his mission.

Ryusei puts up a fake persona to help this goal, pretending to be a nice if cowardly boy as an excuse for running off during fights while also trying to become part of Gentaro's group. Though Gentaro is able to tell there's something false about him, Ryusei is still eventually allowed to join the club. There he helps as himself with the research of the Switches that Gentaro uses to fight, and as Meteor by transforming when an extra hand is needed. Though he keeps attempting to act warm with the other members, Ryusei tries to internally keep his distance from them, not really interested in new friends with how badly things went with Jirou.

Despite this and the number of times he throws up walls, he does start to grow closer to the others, with one of the biggest of these gradual changes in heart happening recently when Ryusei had his his soul stolen by the Zodiart Cancer. Around the same time he was called out by Cancer, who had managed to find out he was Meteor, Jirou's health took a bad turn and Ryusei was left conflicted wanting to get to his friend's side but also needing to keep the meeting. To his great surprise all of the Rider Club offered their souls as a temporary trade, giving Ryusei one hour to visit Jirou in hopes it would help him stabilize. Jirou luckily did and Ryusei was able to return in time, saving the others and helping to defeat Cancer before his secret could be revealed.

However, just before entering the game, Ryusei learned that Aries was at his old high school controlling the student body. While Tachibana urged him to help Fourze to defeat the Zodiart, so they could study his Switch afterwards and have a chance at helping Jirou that way, instead of taking that gamble Ryusei eventually ended up making a deal with Aries himself. He would kill Gentaro in return for Aries waking up Jirou. He ended up going through with this deal, betraying the others despite the bond he now had with the Club, and Tachibana in retaliation took away his ability to be Meteor. This caused him to untransform in front of the entire Club as Gentaro lay dying, revealing his deception of months and that Ryusei was Gentaro's murderer.

Aries did hold up his end of the bargain, awakening Jirou from his coma, but after learning just what his best friend had done to save him Jirou's health took another turn for the worse. It's at this point, feeling horribly guilty for killing Gentaro and betraying the others, realizing just how much he did want to be friends with them, all while convinced Jirou was going to die despite all he'd done and the depths he'd sunken too, that Ryusei is pulled into the game.

Personality: Ryusei is the type who is fiercely loyal to those he grows close to. We see that with just how far he went for Jirou, willing to as he put it make a deal with the devil and even murder if that's what it took to save his friend. With friends he's open and friendly, willing to play around with them and even tease. Outsiders are entirely different though, and he keeps them at a cold distance and minimizes contact when he can. He can be polite with them but only to a point, willing to help others but seeing most kindness as something to be saved for friends.

Everything with his best friend has taught him to hold friendship very dear, to the point he's pissed at those he thinks are taking it lightly, and to try to look out for things you can't take back. Like shouting about how you don't care about your best friend, right before they end up in a coma. Pesky things like that. It's also made him more skittish about making new friends, he might have kept his distance with most in the past but now he's not sure he wants to let anyone new in. His betrayal of the club and killing Gentaro, making more mistakes you can't take back, is only going to make this more true for him.

He's also intelligent and often very skilled at what he applies himself to, something he's maybe too aware of. He can often be arrogant about his abilities, wasting little time on humility with those he's let his walls down with, and only pretending at it when it suits him with others. But Ryusei runs into less trouble because of his arrogance about his own abilities, and more from underestimating others with how quick to dismiss those he sees as being foolish or childish.

Ryusei is something of a schemer, willing to manipulate others, lie, and to try to plot himself and his friends into the best situation possible, sometimes even at the cost of others. He might regret the cost, but he thinks any price is worth it for his friends, and the ends will justify the means. So keeping up a persona of a friendly if timid and cowardly boy for his mission wasn't something he had many moral issues with. He is honest with friends, but being a frequent liar himself as made him experienced at picking up others being fishy. However he's not the best at not being fishy himself, accidently dropping the act when he gets too emotional or panics, and being too over the top with his performances sometimes.

He's a fairly emotional person, having a short temper and being quick to cry when the situation calls for it. For as much as he tries to act with his head, he can sometimes end up following his emotions instead, to the point of screwing up his plans. He also can be the type to panic badly in a crisis situation, and at times is even a coward. While he does have a lot of brains to use, remembering that in the heat of the moment can be hard for him. However most outsiders wouldn't learn any of this, as he shows as little emotion as he can around them.

At the end of the day Ryusei is someone who wants to help others in trouble, but is still figuring out how to be a hero between the affects everything with Jirou's accident has had on him and his natural standoffishness. He's willing to help others to the point of self sacrifice, and does want what's best for everyone when he thinks it's possible. He also might skip on picking up Gentaro's habit of becoming friends with everyone.

Abilities & physical limitations: As said before, Ryusei was already pretty good at fighting before becoming a Rider, with all the stuff he did with Jeet Kune Do. Thanks to this he's also more fit then your average teenager though he is a normal human at the end of the day. He is intelligent with a knack for school and technology, but he does less well when it comes to emotional intelligence. While he can be good at spotting liars, or picking things up, he can be a horrible actor himself. A lot of how good he is at hiding something is up has more to do with others and less himself, or how emotional he is at the time.

As Kamen Rider Meteor he also has a variety of skills, explained in detail here. Including his currently most powerful limit break, that uses a spinning top. Because Fourze is a silly show. Normally he would need permission from Tachibana to be able to transform, but entering SBURB has set the suit to automatic, allowing him to transform whenever.
Appearance: Ryusei in his normal uniform and as Kamen Rider Meteor

Strife Specibus: fistKind, footKind
Prototyping: Bruce Lee poster (Underlings fight with Jeet Kune Do, and are compelled to use fighting cries[kiai] while fighting.)
Title: Etcher of Lies
In-game abilities: Still working on this, but most likely illusion based power- the Etcher is meant to both create lies and clear them away, depending on the situation.
Planet: The Land of Temples and Auditoriums is a world covered in several large buildings, with the smallest the size of several city blocks and twenty stories high. Most are office buildings with with classrooms and auditoriums on their lower levels, the puppet consorts that call LOTAA home using them to act out school life and for their frequent entertainment events. Though unable to show facial expressions, they seem to enjoy this life of constant performance and switching roles.

There are also buildings that have large ballrooms, with temples built inside of them. Once used for other purposes, they now house the many puppets that have fallen to a sleeping sickness that is spreading among the consorts and leaving them in an apparently eternal sleep. It's thought the denizen Hermes has something to do with this, but how is still unknown at this time.

RP Sample: Some threads from Test Drive. Ryusei has a lot of internal narration in the show- despite being a secondary character and the only one to do so. I've decided the best way to translate this quirk is sharing these thoughts via brackets in pesterlogs.
